Hello,
Now 'depmod -a' operation runs on every system boot. I think that it's not very necessary for me and if it will be an option in rc.conf to disable this operation it will be realy cool.

depmod command will be enought to run after the kernel installation in postinstall script. So it will be on option to disable running of this command it will be great. DO_DEPMOD, for example.

I can provide a shell code for this feature.

wish to note, that disabling depmod command running will decrease boot time for a big amount of time.

we use the -A option if nothing has changed in your modules it runs through and doesn't consume any time

Yes, the -A (--quick) switch should be fast if there are no newer modules to process.
