Description:
With the update of subversion to 1.8.8 it now requires serf 1.3.4 to work properly with self signed certs.
With the current versions in the repository it fails with:
Error validating server certificate for 'url':
- The certificate has an unknown error.

Additional info:
subversion > 1.8.5
serf < 1.3.4

Steps to reproduce:
try to communicate with a repo using a self signed cert (checkout commit whatever).

The latest serf is in [testing]. Please install it from there and let me know if you see any problems.
