Details
Description: When starting KDE, on the splash screen, I get
an assert with 10.1.0-1.
No problem after a downgrade to 10.0.3-1. X: svga_resource_texture.c:214: svga_texture_get_handle: Assertion `svga_texture(texture)->key.cachable == 0' failed. Additional info: A patch downgrading the assert to a warning was posted upstream, but never applied :mesa-dev@lists.freedesktop.org/msg50990.html"> https://www.mail-archive.com/mesa-dev@lists.freedesktop.org/msg50990.html Steps to reproduce: From KDM, login into a KDE Workspace session (you need KWIN_COMPOSE=O2 environment variable, for example in a ~/.kde4/env/kwin.sh, else Kwin uses Xrender composition). |

I'm using an Arch guest in VMWare (under a Win7 host), I'm using Xfce, which works fine. After updating (11/3) I've found that SDL2 compiled programs freeze X. I installed VLC using pacman to test against and this too freezes X, not straight away but when starting any video. (Freezes occur when Xfce is running or when X is started via startx)
Was trying to step through program to see where freeze occurs but not success there so far. Tried to do a "sleep 60; killall -9 X" to get X to unfreeze the vm, but so far have to reset each time it locks up.
Checked Xorg, no errors. Didn't find anything unusual in dmesg.
There seems to be so many issues with mesa, not certain if this should be attached to this one.
Sorry if comment/bug is malreported, bug reports aren't my forte
Package xf86-video-vmware 13.0.2-1 works with the latest mesa and svga-dri packages, version 10.1.0-4.
