Details

The (ftp://ftp-linux.cc.gatech.edu/pub/linux/distributions/archlinux/extra/os/i686/) stable extra mirror provides the 3.5.1 version of 'kdebase', not the 3.5.0 like other stable mirrors, so it is uninstallable (due dependenxy problems) until the /etc/pacman.d/extra file is modified (the wrong mirror is removed).
