Description:
I can't seem to find any information about the current status of this package anywhere. The official taglib site does not mention it anymore.
There is a svn repo (http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/kdesupport/taglib-extras/), but it has not been updated in 4 years.

There are only two packages that depend on this one, amarok and cantata. I replaced the taglib-extras dependency with taglib and they both built fine. This package could potentially be dropped if the maintainers of amarok and cantata can confirm it is no longer needed.

This task depends upon

Orphan and nobody seems to be doing anything with it at all. Assigning to the person listed in the PKGBUILD, as well as the maintainer of amarok. I can't bring in the maintainer of cantata, as TUs can't be assigned to bug reports in the Extra repo

taglib-extras is used in amarok to support Real Media and Audible formats.

taglib-extras was split from amarok and handles proprietary file formats. I suppose it is still needed as it is still included in other distros as well, but I'm not sure [so it is, I didn't read your reply before posting arojas].

The root of the website states 'coming soon', though that is no guarantee that the source will be back as well. I'll do a rebuild of this package soon and host the source on our own servers for now.
