Details
Description: System freezes when some usb devices are
plugged in. I was unable to enter on tty nor controlling the
mouse. The whole display freezes and there is no log output
under journal. I can't even control the mouse. The only way
to recover the system is to do a hard reboot. The system has
the latest updates and i don't have broken packages. When
the device is plugged in and you try to boot up, some times
the system does not even boot. It stops after doing the
systemd-fsck task on the /home/ partition.
Additional info: I'm using Linux 3.13.5-1 on a Toshiba Satellite A215-SP5811 with latest updates and problem happened with RT2870/RT3070 Wireless Adapter and an A-DATA NH03 external hard drive. I couldn't find anything related in the system logs, nor journalctl, system does not give any information, when rebooting there are no crash logs. The only solution i've found is to install linux-lts and everything works fine. The installed version of linux-lts is 3.10.32-1 |
