This is now considered stable upstream, and is in fact the default user interface. Enabling it just requires adding `vte` and `gtk2` as dependencies and passing `--enable-gtk` instead of `--disable-gtk`.

It is not possible it breaks things like arrow keys and leads to coredumps.
Provide me flags which don't cause this i'll enable it.

Thanks.

I tested the latest version with --enable-gtk and everything is working fine. Upstream also seem to consider the gtk fronted as default user interface.

In the current version (2.2.0-1) the SDL interface is not working at all. After pressing the Ctrl-Alt-U (shortcut for rescaling) qemu hangs and segfaults. This is obviously a different bug, but enabling the gtk frontend is a workaround for this regression.

Are there any open bugs which block this task? I’m using the Gtk GUI for some time now and I did not trigger any coredumps or other bugs.

Also GTK UI and SDL2 are currently the only ways to use virtio-gpu with QEMU.

Adding --enable-gtk is definitely a good idea. It's stable now, I don't see any reason to disable it now.

QEMU takes forever to build, so it's not something that's convenient for us to rebuild.

I see --enable-gtk in the current PKGBUILD for qemu, is this ticket still valid? Thanks.

This is fixed in qemu 2.6.0-1, but the "gtk3" depends is missing.

It's already a dep of vte3, so it's covered.
