shared-mime-info 1.2 does an fsync after each use causing
massive slowdowns when installing packages.
I know that patching the build has been rejected previously. However there is a configuration "option" available. So I request adding "export ac_cv_func_fdatasync=no" above the configure line in the PKGBUILD. As far as I am concerned, you can alter a package through configure and it is still vanilla. And this gives a notable improvement for our user-base. |
