Details

Description:
The latest i8kutils update fails to start: couldn't execute "acpi": no such file or directory.

Is there a new dependency on the acpi package?

Additional info:
* i8kutils: i8kutils 1.40-3

Does it work if acpi is installed?
Comment by Frank Vanderham (twelveeighty) - Friday, 07 February 2014, 19:40 GMT
Sorry, I should have re-worded that in the bug: yes, once acpi is installed, it *starts* without problems.

But, as I'm typing this, I not sure if the fan control is actually working - the fan doesn't seem to want to turn on based on my temp settings. This worked flawlessly with the previous version (there were no significant changes in the .conf file for this version, but I checked those as well).

OK - false alarm. Sorry for the chatter. The fan control is working as before - the only issue remaining is the dependency for acpi.
