DetailsI can't install archlinux with ftp and forcedeth module on mortherboard with nforce2 chipset. Not network at all dhcp or even if I configure network by hand. I had to install archlinux from a livecd and archbootstrap script. Network works well this this module.
The module load without error and I can set ip on the interface and even the gateway (dns are well configured) but I cant't acees to an external server and even a local server. |

# modprobe forcedeth
# ifconfig eth0 192.168.0.2 netmask 255.255.255.0 up
# route add default gw 192.168.0.1
It all worked well enough with the install kernel on an 0.7.1 beta to get me an ftp install, and from there I upgraded to the newest kernels, which work great with it.
Benoit, does it work with 0.7.1 CD?
