Description:
installing gnome-control-center 3.10.2-1 and running from terminal
$ gnome-control-center
gnome-control-center: error while loading shared libraries: libgcrypt.so.20: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Upgrading libgcrypt to 1.6.1-1 and then running
$ gnome-control-center
gnome-control-center: error while loading shared libraries: libgcrypt.so.11: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

$ ldd /usr/bin/gnome-control-center |grep libgcrypt
libgcrypt.so.11 => /usr/lib/libgcrypt.so.11 (0x00007f4024d70000)
libgcrypt.so.20 => not found
(when previous version of libgcrypt is present in the system)

Conclusion drawn: Even after upgrading the system, gnome-control-center will not work because it requires two different versions of libgcrypt simultaneously.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
* config and/or log files etc.

Do a full system update. Also, ldd is bad for detecting the problem package. Use "readelf -d".

[jgc@brynhild ~]$ sogrep extra libgcrypt.so.11
[jgc@brynhild ~]$ sogrep core libgcrypt.so.11
[jgc@brynhild ~]$ sogrep community libgcrypt.so.11
[jgc@brynhild ~]$ sogrep testing libgcrypt.so.11
[jgc@brynhild ~]$ sogrep community-testing libgcrypt.so.11
[jgc@brynhild ~]$

Nothing links to libgcrypt.so.11 anymore. Probably you have an outdated package on your system which is used by gnome-control-center. Candidates are systemd, libxslt, libsecret, gcr, libimobiledevice, smbclient. Note that only partially upgrading libgcrypt will cripple your system.

Ok I have just found that there is also an old version available in Arch User Repository, libgcrypt15 (v1.5.3-1). I think installing this alongside with latest 1.6.1 version may solve the problem. (As google-chrome package use this old version.)
