i got this when upgrading perl on the eveneing of january 15th:

upgrading perl... done.
adapting old version: 5.8.3... cp: cannot stat `usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.3/*': No such file or directory
rm: cannot remove `usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.3': No such file or directory
done

though this does not concern me much i was wondering if the error is due to the paths in the .install file not having a leading slash? e.g.:

cp --no-dereference -pr --reply=no usr/lib/perl5/$ver/* usr/lib/perl5/current/

due to the fact that i am not sure i have given this potential bug a low priority.

I don't believe those errors are fatal. Dorphell?

not fatal but I'll find out what's causing this and get rid of it.

Okay problem found.
Sarah just installed gaim which created that dir (5.8.3) and perl 5.8.3 was not installed.

This is nothing but a warning, everything should be fine on that system.

Closing this.
