Description: IIUC `go tool vet` should be part of the go distribution

Steps to reproduce:

x220:~$ cd imap2json/
x220:~/imap2json$ vim imap2json.go
x220:~/imap2json$ go tool vet -shadow imap2json.go
go tool: no such tool "vet"; to install:
go get code.google.com/p/go.tools/cmd/vet
x220:~/imap2json$ go get code.google.com/p/go.tools/cmd/vet
go install code.google.com/p/go.tools/cmd/vet: open /usr/lib/go/pkg/tool/linux_amd64/vet: permission denied
x220:~/imap2json$

go vet is no longer included by upstream together with go. If you set GOPATH to a place you have write permissions, you can install the vet tool.

I'll consider packaging one or more go tools from code.google.com/p/go.tools as a separate package that is an optional dependency of the go package.
