Providing an apache24 package should really be a priority to Arch. I don't know any other software that is not being upgraded so hesitantly. It already hit the (testing) repositories of Debian [2], Fedora [3] and openSUSE. I've already proposed this a couple of weeks back on arch-general, refer to [1]. However, not much has happened since then, so I would like to take the more "formal" way and try it again here.
