Details

Description: With an early version of Kernel 3.10 everything was fine. Now with Kernel 3.12.8 and 3.12.9 i cant boot anymore the Archlinux installation from the USB 3.0 port. It did not get power (power-led is off) after /boot/vmlinuz-linux have load without any problem. /dev/disk directory is fully missing (no other storage device). Also no /dev/sdX.
When i plugin into USB 2.0 instead of USB 3.0, the power is on when /boot/vmlinuz-linux have load and it boot normaly. When i change in grub (pressing e before boot) the UUID to something wrong, i get into same rescue-console but i can see there the /dev/disk directory and the /dev/sdX is also there. Also power of the USB device is always on.

Its always reproducable.

This is probably the same problem. I can no longer access the external hard drives through the USB 3.0 port. Using the 'lsusb' command does not display the external hard drive when plugged in. The hard drive still powers on, but my computer does not detect it in any way. Plugging it into one of the USB 2.0 ports allow me to access the hard drive normally.
