Banshee fails to recognize my Apple iPod Classic. It simply does not show up in the Banshee GUI, no matter if it is mounted or not. Both Amarok and gtkpod recognize the iPod properly. iDevice support is enabled in Banshee. Environment: KDE
After looking over the dependencies of Banshee I found out that gvfs is missing from the dependencies (KDE users won't have this installed by default). After installing gvfs the iPod is also recognized when running Banshee under KDE.
So long story short: please add *gvfs* as a dependency in order to fix this.
In the meantime you may also rename the bug report to something like "[banshee] Missing gvfs dependency"
