Hi,
I would like to provide a new German archlinux mirror. It has already been tested and is working properly. Syncing everything except archive, other and sources every hour at xx:21 Mirror domain name: mirrors.k42.ch Geographical location of the mirror (country): Frankfurt (Germany) Supported access methods: http (ipv4 and ipv6) URLs for the above access methods: http://mirror.k42.ch/archlinux An administrative contact email: mohlerm@k42.ch An alternative administrative contact email: arch@mohlerm.ch The name of the tier 1 mirror(s) you are syncing from: gwdg.de (Germany) - rsync://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/linux/archlinux/ Thanks. |

and the mirror now also supports https under:
https://k42.ch/mirror/archlinux
- http://mirror.k42.ch/archlinux is returning "500 Internal Server Error" -- please correct this if possible
- http:// redirects to https:// -- since each request is autonomous and based on what's defined in pacman's mirrorlist, there's no benefit in doing this for a mirror
Since you redirect http to https, should we really list the http URL or should we simply list https? pacman will hit the redirect for every request if the users puts in http which adds extra round trips and provides no additional security.
I also disabled the automatic redirect for k42.ch/mirror
