Description:
As the title says there's an issue when using ispell with hunspell and try to change the dictionary.
There's already a fix for this inclued in the upstream bug entry[1]. The patch was inclued at 21. of Januar but not in the current Emacs version,
please add it until the bug is fixed.

Steps to reproduce:
1. run emacs with emacs -eval (setq ispell-program-name "hunspell")
2. open a file
3. M-x ispell-change-disctionary english
4. see error

Emacs 24.4 will be released in the near future. Does it include the hunspell patch?

If emacs 24.4 is in trunk then yes (just checked now).
BTW: How do you get the release date?

I am not familiar with the Emacs development process. However this blog post claimed that "There’s a new Emacs minor release due out any day now": http://www.masteringemacs.org/articles/2013/12/29/whats-new-in-emacs-24-4/

So did the patch make it into 24.4 (or 24.5), or is this still outstanding?
