Even with 1.20-2, I'm getting:

Rebuilt locally in a clean chroot and everything's fine, so it's not something else I had locally that needs rebuilt. Somehow this got rebuilt against the old version instead of the new one.

Also experiencing this bug, output is the same. Is there a stop gap I can run until this is resolved?

If you need it right away, the best option is to build it against the new library yourself. All of the files are here: https://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit/community.git/tree/trunk?h=packages/calibre
build with makepkg or extra-<arch>-build from devtools.
