Hi,

When running the Arch 0.7.1 installation CD, upon "Configure system", when selecting Nano as the editor, I get throw in pico.

Actually, you're thrown into a pico clone.

Nano itself was too large for our initrd install setup. Next Arch release will have a different install structure, so we can include the real nano on it.
