Me too, and from the favorites Nautilus can not be started.

The issue is only present when "Icon on Desktop" is active

I can confirm this bug. After upgrading from 3.10.2 to 3.10.3 a click on Nautilus in the favourites won't open a new window, but only show Nautilus as "Files" right next to "Activities". Once there, it will stay forever (only hidden if another window is active). Starting Nautilus from a terminal opens a window, but "Files" will stay after closing the window. I can also confirm that the bug only occurs when Nautilus is used to display icons on the desktop.

However, a workaround is to downgrade to gnome-shell 3.10.2 with: pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/gnome-shell-3.10.2.1-4-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz

Can anyone attach the package 3.10.2.1-4? :)

P.S I found the source and I compiled it ;)

Arch Rollback Machine is usefull tool in such cases.

Same issue for me.
I have also an icon for conky that should be runned in background.

The same issues here, with nautilus and conky. Downgrade works!

It seems that the bug is not only restricted to the Arch package:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1270432

I guess it's an upstream issue...

This patch is fixed a problem. Thanks, Fabio.

It turned out that there are some more patches needed to fix this bug. I've attached a patched version of the gnome-shell-3.10.3-1 package that includes all required patches (maybe this should be gnome-shell-3.10.3-2 ;D). You can build it like any other AUR package.

More information about the included patches can be found in the GNOME bug discussion that has been linked by Fabio.
