With recent jdk / jre versions, freecol hangs while attempting to play the intro movie. The only way to get back to desktop is to kill java / freecol . see http://sourceforge.net/p/freecol/discussion/141201/thread/3982ec64/ The bug has been solved in git, but a workaround is to start freecol with the --no-intro paramater reproduce : start freecol |
