Spamassassin's home /var/lib/spamassassin should be owned by nobody:nobody since the spamd daemon runs as nobody. If /var/lib/spamassassin is owned by spamd following errors will occur: Dec 12 10:07:26 <server name> spamd[691]: plugin: eval failed: bayes: (in learn) locker: safe_lock: cannot create tmp lockfile /var/lib/spamassassin/bayes.lock.<server.fqdn>.691 for /var/lib/spamassassin/bayes.lock: Permission denied Additional info: * extra/spamassassin 3.3.2-9 * /var/lib/spamassassin Steps to reproduce: Configure spamassassin with postfix. Start daemon and watch log files. |
