Description:

http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/26.0/releasenotes/ sez Support for H.264 on Linux if the appropriate gstreamer plug-ins are installed

On https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/firefox/ it says gstreamer0.10-ugly-plugins package is needed for - h.264 and mp3 decoding, for watching H264 encoded video

However I get a:
http://s.natalian.org/2013-12-11/VideoformatorMIMEtypeisnotsupported.png

When accessing a HTML video URL with a H264 media file: http://firefox26.dabase.com/

Additional info:
* package version(s) firefox 26.0-1 & gstreamer0.10-ugly-plugins 0.10.19-8
* config and/or log files etc.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Load http://firefox26.dabase.com/
2) Expect to play back H264 video and instead see http://s.natalian.org/2013-12-11/VideoformatorMIMEtypeisnotsupported.png

for me h264 works with firefox 26.0 and these gstreamer packages

local/gstreamer0.10 0.10.36-3

local/gstreamer0.10-base 0.10.36-2
GStreamer Multimedia Framework Base plugin libraries

GStreamer Multimedia Framework Base Plugins (gst-plugins-base)

local/gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg 0.10.13-1 (gstreamer0.10-plugins)
Gstreamer FFMpeg Plugin

local/gstreamer0.10-good 0.10.31-4
GStreamer Multimedia Framework Good plugin libraries

local/gstreamer0.10-good-plugins 0.10.31-4 (gstreamer0.10-plugins)
GStreamer Multimedia Framework Good Plugins (gst-plugins-good)

local/gstreamer0.10-ugly 0.10.19-8
GStreamer Multimedia Framework Ugly plugin libraries

x220:~$ pacman -Qi | grep "Name : gstreamer"
Name : gstreamer
Name : gstreamer0.10
Name : gstreamer0.10-base
Name : gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg
Name : gstreamer0.10-ugly
Name : gstreamer0.10-ugly-plugins

It's not working for me... I think additionally installed:

gstreamer0.10-good-0.10.31-4
gstreamer0.10-good-plugins-0.10.31-4

I think gstreamer0.10-good-plugins was the key to make it work.

You can close this bug, but I think the documentation needs to be tweaked a bit.

I have added a section in the documentation (English and Simplified Chinese) regarding this issue. From what I learned, the key package is gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg.
