DetailsUsing Firefox 1.5-3
After installing acroread 7.0.1-1, pdfs no longer load in the browser - just a blank screen. When running firefox from console and attempting to load a PDF, it spits out a usage message and doesn't actually run acroread. If I revert to Acroread 7.0.0-1 everything's fine. I've traced down the problem to this: when the browser calls the plugin, the plugin constructs a command-line to execute. Command with 7.0.1: /usr/bin/acroread -geometry +9000+9000 -tempFileTitle acroread +useFrontEndProgram <tempfilename> Command with 7.0.0: /usr/bin/acroread -geometry +9000+9000 -tempFileTitle acroread -openInNewWindow <tempfilename> Where <tempfilename> is a long file name pointing to where Firefox saved the .pdf temporarily. The +useFrontEndProgram flag isn't accepted and causes the plugin to fail. |
