DetailsDescription:
The archlinux glusterfs packages use a custom systemd unit file instead of the one provided by the upstream project. The unit file used in the package was created when the upstream GlusterFS project didn't supply a unit file. The GlusterFS project now provides a unit file, which is used in the Fedora packages of glusterfs and is also installed by default when installing from source. I think its best if Archlinux also switches over to this unit file. Additional info: * The new unit file has been provided since glusterfs v3.4.0 when it became a part of the default Fedora repository. * The unit file is located at 'extras/systemd/glusterd.service' in the glusterfs sources. If no one is willing, I volunteer to take up this task. |
