Detailslz4 should provide headers/shared libraries that can be used by other packages. e.g. infinisql one of those who depends on lz4.so.
Although upstream package does not have a make target for *.so it should be easy to add one. Or you might want to look at the Debian package http://packages.debian.org/sid/liblz4-dev and check how they generate *.so (do they use cmake?) |

Suggested patch https://github.com/lu-zero/lz4/commit/eeddc041c80b589a73b382ea35e0227d70d15eae should be able to produce correct 'install' operation.
