If I click on voting for a report, I am getting the vote add
url in the tab of my browser. This does not seem to be a big
issue, but:
I did not know this, and I am sure this is not an expected behavior for many, including me, so I innocently used the regular procedure of getting an url to the bugreport in question to show that to my acquaintances. What happened was they got a link for adding a vote automatically. I did not realize it as I really did not expect it. I am not sure if it is a bug in the web software you are using (probably is), but either way, I think this would be better eliminated either in upstream and then upgrade, or solving it locally for Arch. I do not think this is a useful behavior, but people could abuse it by posting into public channels, etc, and get votes from other people, etc. It is very easy to reproduce: 1) Report a bug. 2) Click on vote. 3) control-l or equivalent. 4) control-c or equivalent. 5) Go to another windows. 6) control-p or equivalent. 7) You can observe the link for automated voting. I came across this behavior with the following report: https://bugs.archlinux.org/index.php?do=details&action=details.addvote&task_id=37868 I got the following link after the voting and the aforementioned scenario: https://bugs.archlinux.org/index.php?do=details&action=details.addvote&task_id=37868 |
