While trieing to install the new xorg 7.0 from testing I got this error:
# pacman -Syu
:: Synchronizing package databases...
:: testing is up to date
:: current is up to date
:: extra is up to date
:: community is up to date
error: cannot resolve dependencies for "libxau":
"xproto" is not in the package set

# pacman -S xproto
xproto: not found in sync db

I had a look on the website and xproto has been updated on 2005-12-30 17:51:51 the last time. So it shouldn't be a "short time after adding xproto to arch" problem.

Moritz

Looks strange to me, as xproto is on the official archlinux mirror and is in the package database. Are you using outdated mirrors or something like that?

I switched the server to ibiblio. Same result.
After switching back testing was updated and works now. Absolutly strange.
Sorry for that!
