Hi

The CONFIG_WIFI_DISPLAY switch in wpa_supplicant enables the low-level WFD IE set/query commands. It would be really nice if we enabled it in arch-linux by default. It's quite little code that is enabled by the switch, no additional dependencies and no interference with other wpa_supplicant features.

Note that this is merely useless to most people, but allows using experimental Wifi-Display implementations like OpenWFD. The wpa_supplicant switch only provides a way for user-space to set WFD IE information in wifi beacons. That's already it. If not explicitly requested by wpa_cli/etc, it will have no effect at all.

It can be enabled via:
CONFIG_WIFI_DISPLAY=y
in the wpa-supplicant config. It requires CONFIG_P2P which we already enable by default.

Thanks
David
