Description:

With the latest update of cinnamon to 2.0.8, the session starts up very slowly on my system. Can you reproduce this?

I can't reproduce it. Please attach the relevant part of the journal output after this occurs:
$ journalctl -b --user | grep cinnamon-session >cinnamon-session.log

Since it mentions a problem with the cinnamon-settings-daemon, I assume it is related to the missing image module, reported here:

What is the output if you run the following command? (Of course in an X session.)
$ /usr/lib/cinnamon-settings-daemon/cinnamon-settings-daemon

A completely new error. So in fact parts of the settings daemon seem to run, correct?
