DetailsDescription:
jackd coredumps due to some undefined symbol in /usr/lib/jack/jack_netone.so. The command I run is: $ jackd -d alsa -d EMU -z shaped -P -o 2 -r 44100 -n 3 -p 256 'EMU' is a named hardware ALSA device, as defined in /etc/asound.conf. The output of that command is: jackdmp 1.9.9.5 Copyright 2001-2005 Paul Davis and others. Copyright 2004-2012 Grame. jackdmp comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY This is free software, and you are welcome to redistribute it under certain conditions; see the file COPYING for details no message buffer overruns no message buffer overruns Could not open component .so '/usr/lib/jack/jack_netone.so': /usr/lib/jack/jack_netone.so: undefined symbol: opus_custom_mode_create Could not open component .so '/usr/lib/jack/jack_netone.so': /usr/lib/jack/jack_netone.so: undefined symbol: opus_custom_mode_create jack_get_descriptor : dll jack_netone.so is not a driver Segmentation fault (core dumped) The output of 'dmesg' shows this: jackd[24248]: segfault at 7fd1be392fdd ip 00007fd1be5e72e0 sp 00007fffbfc91918 error 7 in ld-2.18.so[7fd1be5d4000+20000] Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. Offending package: jack2 1.9.9.5-3 (x86_64). The same command runs fine with jack 0.121.3-7. /etc/asound.conf: pcm.EMU { type hw; card USB; device 0; format S24_3LE; } ctl.EMU { type hw; card USB; } Steps to reproduce: Install jack2, run the aforementionned command. |

Reason for closing: Not a bug
Additional comments about closing: Reporter is using opus-git, which is unsupported and is not built with the custom flag --enable-custom-modes (which should solve the issue here).
