Which is an AUR package and not even all that popular (based on votes). I doubt you'll get the static libs back for an unsupported package, but I could be wrong.

Looks like the package doesn't have shared libs, so deleting the static ones would be stupid then.

Ah, yeah, I didn't look at the package. If static libs is the only way it can be used, then obviously they shouldn't be removed.
