Details

gnome-system-monitor and file-roller crashes by invoking, cause of dbus error and only in lxdm. If I use startx and invoke one of these programs, then it does function properly.

The Error for gnome-system-monitor:
GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.AccessDenied: Connection ":1.25" is not allowed to own the service "org.gnome.SystemMonitor" due to security policies in the configuration file

The Error for file-roller:
GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.AccessDenied: Connection ":1.27" is not allowed to own the service "org.gnome.FileRoller" due to security policies in the configuration file

My versions:
dbus 1.6.16-1
lxdm 0.4.1-27
gnome-system-monitor 3.10.1-1
file-roller 3.10.1-1

Steps to reproduce:
invoke gnome-system-monitor or file-roller in lxdm.

Something in your setup completely locks down your d-bus. This is neither g-s-m's nor file-roller's problem.
