xapian-core provides libxapian-1.3.so, notmuch is linked
against libxapian.so.22.
$ pacman -Qi xapian-core | grep Version Version : 1.3.1-1 $ notmuch notmuch: error while loading shared libraries: libxapian.so.22: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory What's more, xapian-config has been renamed to xapian-config-1.3. So to rebuild notmuch{,-runtime}, you need to add the following line in the PKGBUILD before the configure: export XAPIAN_CONFIG="xapian-config-1.3" The package rebuilt that way seems to work just fine. |

Xapian 1.3 is the development version, 1.2 the stable one. The
package was already downgraded:
