Description:
If I mark some cells in a libreoffice-calc spreadsheet and try to move the marked area to another target of the spreadsheet, the mousecursor changed into a rectangular symbol and just after I left the marked area the whole desktop does no longer respond on mouse and keyboard actions. I can move the mouse around the desktop but the cursor does not change back to normal state. But I can still switch to a virtual console using Ctrl+Alt+F1, kill the libreoffice-calc task can switch back to the desktop and can continue working. Additional info: Problem appears first to me after upgrade from libreoffice 4.0.5 to 4.1.1, and still exist in the current 4.1.2 release. If I downgrade to 4.0.5 it works again for me, and also if I un-install libreoffice-kde4; then I get an ugly LibreOffice-Desktop but can drag&drop any group of cells where I like. Steps to reproduce: As described above. In addition, the same effect I get if I try to move a tab of a spreadsheet from one position to another. Mousecurcor change again the symbol but so long as I keep the mouse int the tab bar I can move the bar and drop it on another location. But at once as I touch the grid of the spreadsheet, desktop changes into the non-response state. Hope you can confirm the problem and have a solution. Until then, I have to use 4.0.5. |

After your comment I tried just to switch to the console and back without killing the process, and it works for me as well as you described. But I have to switch to the console and back for every cell move, step by step; for a longer distance it's rather anoying. However, better than to lose all the work after an accidental move.
It's a strange behaviour anyways.
