DetailsDescription: I'm unable to get X Clients under Wayland (XWayland) to work properly. Starting from the official documentation http://wayland.freedesktop.org/xserver.html and the official arch linux packages, I have:
* in my weston.ini: [core] modules=desktop-shell.so,xwayland.so * in weston I see in a weston-terminal, that DISPLAY is set correctly to :1 as described in the docs * but unfortunately, when I try to start X clients like chromium or dia they complain "cannot open display :1" * there is no xserver started / set up which I can tell from process monitoring like htop * apparently the X server has problems starting as you can see from the attached log of weston-launch > weston.log 2>&1 Additional info: * both wayland and weston are 1.3.0-1 * xorg-xserver 1.14.3-2 Steps to reproduce: |

That's because xorg-xserver doesn't include xwayland, it hasn't even been merged into master yet. See the AUR to build from the xwayland branch.

Ah, thanks. Maybe you should include that in the wayland wiki page.

You can edit the wiki yourself and add everything you think useful.
