DetailsDescription:
Recently libquvi has been upgraded 0.4.x to 0.9.x and 0.9.x requires libproxy to resolve proxy settings. Apparently, libproxy do run-time resolution of libraries to find system proxy setting, in the case of KDE, it looks up libkdecore. And, libkdecore, of course for KDE4, calls Qt 4 symbols. In Qt 5 apps, this causes crashes because Qt5 application cannot be linked against Qt 4. Here's some issue reports related to this. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=323407 http://code.google.com/p/libproxy/issues/detail?id=197 I do know there's nothing wrong with libquvi. It's all about libproxy. However, as long as we stick to libquvi 0.4.x this libquvi can be used with Qt 5 app and in fact, 0.4.x is official stable release and 0.9.x is unstable as the developer says. Can you revert 0.9.x to 0.4.x and keep it till this problem is solved? |
