Description:

When starting xfig the welcome banner rendered very slow. It renders the background picture of the welcome banner then it almost freeze and I see as the version number rendering very slowly, the window became unresponsive but if I close the window during the number rendering, then the widow closes after a long time (e.g. 40 sec). After the banner is cleared(as normal) I tried to access the menu, then the desktop became totally unresponsive. In the background I've heard the youtube music video so only the GUI became unresponsive. After switching to virtual console and killing the xfig process everything went back to normal. There is no error in the log, journal whatsoever or if I start with xfig -debug.

Additional info:
* package version(s):3.2.5c
* config and/or log files etc.:Nothing appropriate

Steps to reproduce:

Start xfig.

I had a little time so I have shoved in a little bit. The problem is in the glamor-egl. I have a Radeon HD7750 graphics card, so the radeon driver runs in glamor mode by default. If i turn the desktop effects from OpenGL 2.0 to Xrender, then the error vanish. Any idea how can I get some useful log?

Did you check in /var/log/Xorg.0.log ?

The welcome banner renders still very slowly (not as slow as before) and the program runs much smoother. There is no freezing, but a very small noticeable lag. The program can be used normally.
