@Sergej, pitivi 0.91 is an unstable release: "This is the first alpha release for the new version of Pitivi based on GES, the GStreamer Editing Services library."
Source: http://wiki.pitivi.org/wiki/0.91

"WARNING: Please keep in mind that this is an alpha release, so there may be some bugs we haven't found yet. We appreciate your feedback, so try it out, let us know how well it works for you and report detailed bugs for issues you may encounter. Again, this is not yet considered production-ready software. We can't be sure until we test and iron out the bugs! With your help, we will follow up with a beta release and eventually a 1.0 release."

So please downgrade our package back to version 0.15.2 (and don't forget adding the epoch=1).

I've just had a conversation on Pitivi's official IRC channel. They're thinking this is more related to my Python2 setup ; someone told me it "would be sad to downgrade because of such a minor mishap". Unfortunately, no one here had enough knowledge of Arch to help me resolve this case.

Here's our conversation's log : http://pastebin.archlinux.fr/471214

We always package the latest stable releases, so even if this problem is fixable, we should keep version 0.15.2 in our repos until the upstream releases a new stable release.

After some investigation, it appears that I've mistakenly removed the contents of "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/gi/overrides/" from my system before upgrading to pitivi 0.91-2.

Reinstalling python2-gobject (not python2-gobject2) fixed the issue ; now Pitivi launches fine.
