Description:
I have the same problem which is described in this thread https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=169521.
Although this thread is marked solved I think the gnome-icon-theme package should be a dependency for rhythmbox (at least an optional dependency)

Steps to reproduce:
Install rhythmbox without gnome-icon-theme installed.
