Description:
Hello!
Since evolution-3.8.4 or 3.8.5 it is not longer possible to create a appointment on an exchange-account. The appointment created by evolution doesn't follow the rules required by Microsoft. A workaround is creating a meeting, with only one attende (the user itself).

Additional info:
* package version(s): evolution-3.8.5
* resource: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=702922

Steps to reproduce:
1. Use evolution with Exchange
2. Create and save an appointment

The above bug report caused this bug and includes also a fix for it. I'm afraid GNOME will not publish evolution 3.8.6, because GNOME doesn't provide any kind of support after the next major release of GNOME *sigh*. Of course we can wait for evolution-3.10, but it will take weeks until we can apply that safely to core/extra. Also that new major release can include other nasty bugs.

Creating and appointment with evolution-ews is a core feature and I think we can't break that thing even more with a upstream fix from git.
Could we apply it?

Thank you

Reason for closing:  Fixed
Additional comments about closing:  Fixed in 3.10, which is likely to move quite soon from gnome-unstable.

Sorry for german language in the screenshot, that is caused by the exchange-server.

No, this is fixed in gnome 3.10, so we won't fix this in 3.8 anymore.
