Right now when joining multi user chat, if the server supports it, upon reconnect it sends full conversation history (usually many days of chat messages). This quickly makes the log file huge and Pidgin chat window slow (because it loads A LOT of messages in it). Upstream has a fix but it is available only in 3.0 branch but it won't come out for God knows how long. https://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/15458 Please add the muc-limited-history.patch to the PKGBUILD.
