Description: When exiting i3-wm, at least 75% of the time
I'll experience a kernel oops which forces me to use the
magic SysRq key combination (REISUB) to reboot. I can
reproduce this issue on two separate computers (a desktop
tower using AMD/ATI and a Intel netbook).
I tested a bunch of window managers like dwm, openbox, awesome, and bspwm, but was unable to reproduce it on any other window manager besides i3. Additional info: * package version(s) linux 3.11.1-1 i3-wm 4.6-1 * config and/or log files etc. See attachments. Steps to reproduce: Install i3-wm, echo "exec i3" > .xinitrc, login via the console (I'm not using a graphical display manager) and run startx, hit enter a few times to get rid of i3's wizard, exit i3 (Mod4+Shift+e and click "Yes, exit i3" on the bar that pops up, by default.), i3 will exit and you'll be stuck with a black screen (most of the time, if not then try again). |
