I'm fairly new to arch, but as far as I understand configuration files of packages should be included in the package backup list. /etc/xdg/awesome/rc.lua isn't listed in the backup list so the (global) configuration is overwritten by any update. Steps to reproduce: Modify /etc/xdg/awesome/rc.lua, update/reinstall awesome, the original file is back in place. |
