Details

Description: external USB enclosure connected to USB 3.0 does secure unmounting from Nautilus and/or Thunar. But after 2-3 seconds the HDD is mounting again. Secure unmounting while connected to USB 2.0 works as expected.... the disc stays unmounted.

Unmounting from command line does the job.

USB sticks are working well with USB 2.0 and 3.0.

Additional info:
* gvfs 1.16.3-2

The problem still persists with gvfs 1.18.3-3. But only if I try to to secure unmount the USB HDD from the desktop. Unmounting from Filemanager does the job now.
