Details
Description: The most recent version of Thunderbird,
17.0.8-1, consumes an inappropriate amount of resourses,
leading to system instability and the need for a hard reset.
This error occurs while running regularly, with and without
plugins, and in safe mode. This error also occured after I
removed ~/.thunderbird, and before any accounts were added
to the fresh config (on the new account menu).
Additional info: * package version(s) - 17.0.8-1 * Machine specs - 2.6 Ghz Dual Core, 4 GB DDR3 RAM. Steps to reproduce: Open Thunderbird, wait until system becomes unstable/unusable, due to 100% CPU use, and maximum RAM use (machine becomes unstable once Thunderbird starts to swap). |

didn't happen with 17.0.7?
Are you sure you are using the latest version of Thunderbird? On
my system, sudo pacman -Q thunderbird gives thunderbird 24.0-1
Ping JacobHenner, status? Thunderbird was updated over three
months ago, does this still happen?
