occasional errors are experienced due to missing macros in Xft.h adding :

#include <ft2build.h>
#include FT_FREETYPE_H

before line#35 (#include <freetype/freetype.h>)

unfortunately this would require rebuilding xfree86

Not worth releasing bulky xfree just for this, besides 4.4 is just around the corner, we can wait on this.
