The PKGBUILD man page is very nice, but there is one thing it does not have that it really needs—a list of all of the variables a PKGBUILD must have to work. I'd make it myself, but I don't know which ones are mandatory for reasons that should be obvious. Somebody who really knows exactly how makepkg uses PKGBUILDs should do this.
