Description:
lxdm 0.4.1-25 starts X at tty7 as usual but also makes tty1 unusable by blocking it so there is no login prompt. This was an intentional change, because systemd allows to allocate
virtual terminals dynamically. Now LXDM uses VT1 by default (the
'arg=/usr/bin/X -background vt1' line is enabled in the lxdm.conf
file shipped with the package). If you want to revert the original
behavior, then comment out the 'arg=/usr/bin/X -background vt1'
line in lxdm.conf (you've done this already), and copy the file
/usr/lib/systemd/system/lxdm.service to
/etc/systemd/system/lxdm.service, and remove 'getty@tty1.service' from 'Conflicts=' and 'After=' lines in the copied file.
